Description:
Major erosion (major ruts or slumping, large boulders and roots exposed due to erosion)

Watch out for serious rim dings and flat-spots just after the clearing in the first half…

So you’ve just passed the second set of super narrow trees and you enter a brief clearing, it’s flat and fairly smooth. As you re-enter the woods there’s a small drop onto a rooty section. I stay far left, as close as possible to the tree there. And there’s an awkward root knuckle that your back wheel can strike.

This is serious enough to flat-spot a beefy HC1700 rear wheel, despite running a 2.6” Michelin e-bike tyre at 22psi with a Cushcore inside. Eek

I know at least two other guys who’ve done the same thing, flat-spotting theirs!

No photos currently, but I can definitely grab a few shots next time I’m up there.
