Description:
“Unmaintained trail.” For an unmaintained trail, it is in quite good shape and easy to follow. When along the river beds there can be multiple game trails that weave in and out but the main trail is obvious when looking for it. Many cairns are located throughout the riverbed section to help navigate through the river beds. With all the grassy brush along the side of the trails ticks can be an issue at times. As the trail nears the Old Pinnacles Trail intersection there is a bit more overhanging trees that need to be ducked under or pushed aside when walking along the trail. Willow Springs is close to this intersection and was a good source of water directly in the trail when I crossed. No other water on the trail. This is a beautiful trail with good views of the High Peaks and offers a fun remote feeling when hiking.
