Description:
On December 31, a small dog was killed by a cougar in the lower Montane/Castle area. This is the second such incident in the area over a few week period. Cougars can range very far so exercise caution on trails in the entire area.

Trail is snow covered, but ground is no longer as firm as in winter. Use caution as snow melts as riding when soft can cause trail damage. view
