Houston Loop Trail Trail Report - Ideal - Feb 5, 2026

Minor erosion (trail braiding, small ruts developing, brake bumps). I rode this two weeks ago starting from the horse campground. Trail starts fine and halfway in the lack of maintenance shows, lots of erosion and ruts. The erosion is worst at the Houston loop. There are signs that say no motorized vehicles allowed but the tracks left behind say otherwise. There's lots of small trails that branch off making you think they are cut throughs for the trail but they aren't, they lead to dead end utility burials.
