Description:
Exciting improvements are underway on Wonderland, led by Matt Parker and the dedicated crew at the Squamish Trails Society (STS). For more than three decades, STS has worked tirelessly to enhance and maintain the valley bottom trail network, and Wonderland has long been a passion project at the heart of those efforts.
Work is currently focused on the upper half of the trail, where STS and Dream Wizards are collaborating with BC Parks to bring the trail up to Adaptive Standards. These upgrades will improve accessibility, sustainability, and the overall trail experience for a broader range of users.
Please use caution when traveling through the upper section, as volunteers from STS and DW may still be working in the area.
We’d like to extend a sincere thank you to Matt at Blacktusk Trees for his professional hazard mitigation work, ensuring the area is safe for volunteer trail builders and trail users alike. We’re also grateful to BC Parks for the grant funding that supported this important safety work prior to the volunteer trail work commencing.
Thank you for your patience and continued support as we work to make Wonderland better than ever.
