This is paved. The asphalt is in generally old but in fair condition with the occasional small crack or hole but nothing that would cause a flat tire or bent rim. Not much debris or sand. The possibiliy for a flat from a thorn or sticker is always a possibility in this area. Suitable for beginner through advanced riders. The shoulder is narrow to nonexistent with no actual bike lane or stripe on Ramsey Road and there is some traffic to and from the bird sanctuary with many elderly drivers so some flashing lights and vigilance is recommended. There is no water available on the route and may or may not be available at the bird sanctuary so bringing enough water for good hydration is advisable. Cell coverage is good with Verizon.
