Description:
From intersection with Hazard's Peak Trail above the switchbacks, soil conditions are still prime. The clay soil area just south of the wooden bridge prior to the DH segment is still wet but hasn't yet seen any horse traffic and bike tracks have actually rolled it out nicely. Except for the uppermost 2 waterbars at the top of the fall-line drop, all the waterbars have been redone and the drains have been dug out and cleared. Slopes leading into the waterbars have been lengthened with NO PEAKS and lots of soil has been used to build up proper transitions on the downhill side of the bar allowing them to be rolled easily or hit hard and fast without the unnecessary peaks that have been built in with past DIY repairs. The DH segment is running very nicely and fast!
