Sonoran Loop (Comp Track) Trail Report - Dry - Apr 21, 2026

Really dry, the sand is very loose where any water flows from significant storms etc. Some overgrowth on the downhill section towards the low point where the sand is deep. Lots of animal crap on the trail. Chunky in spots, fast, fun, some loose rock in high speed areas so be cautious. The climb up is no joke 2 difficult switchbacks on large rock formations with deep ruts, have to keep solid momentum and take a good line or you’ll be stopping completely. Once the downhill starts one decent drop that’s rutted out to an immediate switchback. If you like to pop off the drop be ready on the brakes. Enjoy!
