Apr 23, 2026 #4427 Traverse to Coyote Wall Trail Report

I know this is obvious to people who live around here, but if you've never lived in a place where poison oak is a concern, you might find it useful to know that at the upper part of Old Ranch Road and from there the beginning of Traverse to Coyote Wall, there is poison oak right along the trail in several spots. And farther off the trail, plenty more in those areas. I was told it's along Little Maui, too. You might want to have your dog on a leash, wear pants, and/or have some poison oak lotion (Tecnu?) or wipes (do these exist?) handy.
