May 17, 2026 Timber Slide Trail Report

Lower areas are quite wet with spring run off. Three large trees are down. Two on the front half, one on the back. I cleared 7 in total on both the blue and black trail. The last three were too big to tackle on my own without a saw. No bugs yet, lots of moose tracks and scat.
This area has tremendous potential hopefully we could get some more sustainable trails put in rather than just the old logging trail. The terrain is incredible and trails could easily be just rake and ride,
I would be totally down with volunteering to help with planning and building!
