Description:
Access the trail from Poli Poli Springs. The Boundary Trail is accessed from the Redwood trail which is a pretty amazing grove of tall Redwoods that is a technical ride downhill over MANY roots. Very rideable, but would be difficult when wet.

Pick up the Boundary trail at the interesection of the Redwood and Plum Trails (hiking only back to Poli Poli Springs). It is clearly marked.

Riding the Boundary Trail is a misnomer. Approximately 25% of the entire trail is un-rideable due to downed trees, limbs and overgrown vegetation = hike a bike! Although, the sections that are rideable are great.

That's not the real problem though - there is so much wild pig activity on the trail that it is difficult to go very far without dismounting to push through the VERY loose soil. I did hear pigs and you can definitely smell them. If I were a hunter, I would be all over this area!

The worst parts are .5 miles away from the Redwood trail to the intersection with the Lower Waiohuli trail. The trail is good for about a mile and then gets terrible with wild pig rooting/erosion for about .75 miles. The last .5 mile of the trail is steep but rideable.
