Updated status, please read:

FAMB partnered with Forest Service crews to clear 500+ trees from obstructing the trail in the 4 miles from the campground side. We were able to get about a half mile south of Boney before the decision was made to stop for now.

There are 3 salvage logging plots that impact this trail. We were not able to cut merchantable trees in these plots, however we did limb the trees to make it easier to pass over or under the logs. The plot at the top of the Reid/Tally Gulch trail intersection has about 30 logs to climb over. These plots will likely not be harvested until near the end of summer/fall. Motos have burned in some ride-arounds for large piles of trees at the top. Several rootballs have torn out the tread, so be careful around blind corners.

Check our Instagram reel posted on 7/2/26 for visuals.

TL;DR: Reid from Tally Lake to Boney Gulch is clear except for 30 logs at the top of Reid. South of Boney is not suggested to ride or hike.
