Description:
The climb on the Switzerland trail from Sunset to the Gold Hill road is not much fun on a gravel bike - lots of rubble. It's better once it levels off and after crossing Gold Hill road. Note that a rock slide wiped out the Swiss trail just before it reaches the Sawmill Road. You have to carry your bike and scramble about 60 feet up a steep, loose slope to the Sawmill Road. Probably wise to take the Gold Hill/Sawmill roads to get to Left Hand.
