Suscol Ridge Trail Trail Report - Dry - Oct 25, 2026

Second day open to public from new parking off North Kelly Rd. The trail is mostly a climb all the way up to the top. It's southern exposure with good views. The surface is dry hardpack with some rocks. It's flows well especially going downhill. It's a bit choppy, not worn in yet. I hope they maintain it. With a wet winter its probably going show some impacts. We will see. Lastly there is one real hairpin turn on a steep section of hill. It looks like they ran out of room to avoid a vineyard above. There is also one area that the trail goes over a spring and is muddy now, when the rest of the trail is dry. Overall we should all be pleased at another section of the Bay Trail has been constructed. It's a great addition
