Someone is trying to create an alternate, more direct line around a downed log. All maintenance work and trail clearing is highly appreciated, BUT please respect trails as created by the original builder. At a minimum, bring your ideas to the WLCC for discussion. Widening a trail and creating shortcuts, may alter the trail rating and impact the general ridership. It is a fine line between creating better flow and improving a trail vs. changing its character.
