High Point

Great ebike loop with first 10 mi all singletrack, losing ~1300'. Then it's some pretty awesome views on 2-track along the edge of the Gunnison River that turns into a steep, chunky climb ~2000' up Windmill Rd to the Tabeguache Trail where you'll quickly lose ~1200' and do a slick rock climb ~800'. The last ~ 1 mi is blessed downhill of pavement on Little Park Road back to 3rd Flats Trailhead where you started.
A portion of this course has been used in the Grand Junction Offroad XC Race.
This entire route is sanctioned by BLM for moto.

Detailed Description

2nd Thots-Butterknife-Windmill-Tabeguache Loop is a 26 mile moderately popular expert route located near Grand Junction Colorado. This mountain bike primary route can be used one direction and has a hard overall physical rating. This route includes 2 trails. This route climbs 3,941 ft with a max elevation of 6,606 ft then descends -3,943 ft.
