Trail Reindeer
WARNING: Reindeer does not connect to Soda Springs Rd on 6/25/22 as shown on the map. Whatever bridge that might exist is submerged under the running water of Serena Creek. I had to turn around and ride through someone's backyard to get to the street (Serene Rd) to cross the creek to continue my ride to Upper Switchback & Tiny Tim. I didn't realize that a better route from Point Mariah would have been the Sterling's Canyon Connector

I do this uphill on my ebike. Great way of gaining elevation.

Fun trail. Best ridden east to west. But will ride fine in either direction. Connect with various xc trails to get back to Serene Lakes

Best as a downhill, climb Claim Jumper instead.

The arrows are wrong. Trail should be going downhill not uphill.

Awesome trail going through really diverse and beautiful landscapes. Punchy climbs, flowy descents. Really varied and fun, even on a gravel bike!

Great connection to the Upper Aster trail. A nice loop is taking the green trail to the right up and then these down.

Trail Upper Aster
The best “downhill” flow trail with jumps in the area. Very fun, but be careful for hikers and don’t hesitate to use a bell.

Trail Reindeer
Someone has intentionally cut down a tree right across the trail near where it meets the spillway. You can still either go around it or over it as it is not a big tree

Fun and decently flowy. No jumps, burms, or anything technical. Trail speed into turns is not great, lots of hard braking into a slow turn into peddling coming out.

Pretty fun ride down. Trail speed into turns isn’t great but overall a fantastic and beautiful single track. No jumps or burms.

Would be a challenging, technical climb. Was a fun downhill!

This trail rides great in both directions, kudos to the builders! Just enough tech to keep it interesting and enough flow to keep the needle pointed toward fun rather than challenging. I look forward to the next sections!

The dam at the bottom is narrow and a little sketchy to walk across.

This trails is a lot of fun. It's well built, has a few nice berms, and travels through really beautiful landscapes. I was disappointed to learn that the next three sections to be built will be east of this one. The last piece of the puzzle, according to Placer County documents, will be the one west of this section, ending in Kingvale.

Really fun and flowy, with berms and 3 small jumps. Really fun if you are going fast downhill.

The switchback corners are pretty loose and hard to maintain traction sometimes but otherwise a fun flowy downhill

The singletrack section is smooth and flowy but the the doubletrack sections are rocky and loose.

Fun DH. Jumps are great, but a tease if you like to jump. Grade makes it a good climb.

Nice trail. Better for climbing, as it's a bit flat going down it.
