This is an amazing loop that takes you on a tour of all the 4 big high mountain lakes. The views are panoramic. The trail is a mix of hard pack dirt, with short sections of very rugged embedded granite rock. Several sections also typically have wild flowers along the trail, especially nice near Twin Lakes Reservoir.
