Crown (2.6 miles) is entered from the Orchard Hills Trailhead at Intersections X (#45) and Y (#40). Crown travels up to and along the crown of the steepest and highest hill in the Glacial Hills. From Intersection X (#45), a counterclockwise ascent, the route joins Outer Loop segments until a sharp turn to the west sets a course climbing steadily toward a long ridge with great vistas of the valley to the North, then reaching a high point at the top of the hill. A steady and welcome decline returns to the Orchard Hills Trailhead.
