McCarty wa a brutal and the return to Yodler was poorly marked and i ended up shooting down the Tannenbaum slope just to get to the Mountain Sports Center. My guess is mtb season at Holiday Valley is over at the end of September based on the condition of he loop

Minor Water drainage issue, standing water on trail surface. There are some downed limbs that I cleared. There is an access road interrupting trail towards end. Looks like there is some ongoing construction. Overall, not too enjoyable to ride right now...

Just a few wet spots and slippery roots. More leaves than I expected for Sept 1!

Rain Trail

Rain Trail is a nice connector trail. I prefer riding it clockwise in relation to the Deaddog Merlins loop. Like most area trails it has its share of roots and rocks but none of the slippery pine roots found on other area trails. Make sure you peel of and ride Mesa Trail while you are out the. Rain and Mesa are two of the Flo Wiest trails in the area - Ellicottville is not known for its flow. Most trails are technical challenges. Enjoy!
