1K Loop offers a rolling, flowy ride with small MTB features that introduce riders to the common features found on back-country bush tracks.
1K Loop, is a 1.2 km long clockwise circuit, single direction making it ideal for riders looking to improve their fitness or physical conditioning. The trail has green rated switchbacks that cross the hillside, and is located within Shire Narrogin reserve. For inexperienced to unfit riders, seeking to prime their riding confidence we recommend the 'Novice Loop' combining Griffo's Leg 7 with a connecting fire road linking to 1K Loop. Together, these trails offer a rolling, flowy ride with small MTB features that introduce riders to the common features found on back-country bush tracks.
Riders may find 1K Loop by following the signage ‘to Griffo’ from the MTB trailhead off Railway Dam carpark on Mokine Rd in Narrogin. 1K Loop starts from the same start point as Griffo Leg 7.
Visitors can take advantage of short stays for caravans and excellent on-site picnic facilities. Four toilet blocks are located off-site between the carpark and supermarket, which is only a 20-minute walk away. More green rated family tracks are located in Foxes Lair reserve across the road opposite Griffo Circuit start point. Offering an additional 10+ km of shared tracks consisting of quiet service roads and single-direction trails.
