This trail has been rerouted and improved over time so it is now 5.9 miles long. It features numerous wooden bridges and two rock armored creek crossings. 5 Mile starts approximately 75 yards from the gravel parking lot/trailhead and intersects the Dogwood Trail near its northeast extremity.
