Forming part of the official 7stanes Mountain Bike Trail network Bagpus starts with all grades of trail (GREEN, BLUE RED). The section initially links to various 'Skills / Taster" trails with a Black option forking off to riders right at Post 2, almost immediately after a BLUE skills loop forks off to to riders right at Post 3, the main trails and Taster Loop continues straight ahead. The Blue Skills trail rejoins and the Black crosses over to take on another granite slab.
After a short climb the RED 'Skills / Taster" forks off to riders left and main trails continue straight ahead. The Blue Skills trail forks off to riders right and forms a small clockwise loop. The Green and Blue Skills loops head back to the car park at Post 10 by forking off to riders left - all main trails outbound bear right. The GREEN main trail forks to riders left at Post 13 and the remaining "Skills / Taster" and main trails fork to riders right. RED and BLACK Skills trails then fork off to riders right and make short clockwise loops back to Post 10, lots of trails in this small area may be confusing at first but you can easily make some loops, test your skills and get your bearings.
Bagpus sees Blue and Red main trails and taster loops continue through single-track and over boardwalk up to Post 18. The following section (Willies Wobble) is now permanently closed (this edit 12/01/2021) and the Taster loops and main trails follow the forest track.
