Flowy trail, looks like recent work has been performed to the berms, some snow and mud. Will definitely be back to ride in the summer.

Recently weedeated so the trail is very clear. Still some cow bumps between the road and cliff but not enough to ruin the fun.

Really enjoyed this easy XC trail. I rode it CW (slow with broken ribs), took lots of pictures and paid attention to which direction would be best for my kids to ride. Both work great and have perks, for kids CCW overall or CW with the Billy Goat shortcut to avoid the really steep CW climb from mile 2.8 to 2.9. Although the most flowy downhill is CW from 2.3 to 2.8 (with an optional steep trail that connects down to "Little Kelly's" trail). The trail is close to a few trees on the SW side and if you go CCW then the handlebar risk is at climbing speed, and also the tallest pedal grabbing rock is on a climb CCW (the only rock I didn't get a picture of, not bad. Note: I personally crave mega tech). I took pictures of all the narrowest tree gaps. Nice rock slabs along the north that are slightly downhill if going CCW. Huge thanks to all the volunteers that make these trails! (I am excited for the new Goat Roper trail that will connect to the east.)

Great trails Despite what Captaine13 says. Maybe he rode it before it was finished. Anyway, give it a try, I think you will like it. If you are driving from the Twin Bridges area to the south, and are using Google maps, etc be sure to rote through the old townsite called Byrne. Otherwise Maps tried to send you though a private land potato field!

Trail is narrow, overly tight, loose, has berms in locations where they shouldn't and is lacking berms where they are needed, and lacks parking. In multiple locations there are trees on either side of the trail that are too close for modern MTB handle bars to clear. There are too many trees within a foot of the trail that result in handlebar strikes. With time this trail may improve but I would not recommend this trail (Biting Goat/ Cowboy Trail) anytime soon as it is one of the worst trails in the Kelly Canyon area.

We hope you've been enjoying Trailforks!
