The trail is open during daylight hours all year long. It can be ridden when wet. Be aware of challenging boulder sections and a couple of bumpy climbs and mild downhill sections. This one is very fun for a quick ride with great views of the lake.

Blue Loop is accessible from the Hoof Gullies Trailhead or from the Lake Lawtonka dam. To reach the Hoof Gullies Trailhead, travel west on HY-49 and take a right on the first gravel road that you come to after you pass over the cattle guard heading into the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge.
