There is a lot of hike a bike, bike carrying and route-finding on the stretch from Fuji to ETC#4. Some sections have been worked on but the route isn't too easy and the trail is faint over some long stretches. Impossible to follow without a GPS. Not much traffic so the trail is brushy and hard to see in a few spots. A couple loose sections. About 1-2 miles of trail in the middle bench sections are more scrappy. Currently in 2020 there is no trail maintenance scheduled due to covid, which means poor conditions and a lot of overgrowth. The trail is clear but the bunchgrass southern facing meadows are hard to ride through due to the narrow trail and tall grass. Make sure to start on top with a lot of water. There are no really good water sources until about half way down where a spring has been damned with rock to make a small pool that you will need to filter. | Dry | view | |
