mtb Running great between oakridge and the high rocky peak two miles east of the ETC#4 Trailhead. 3 logs across as of today.

There is a lot of hike a bike, bike carrying and route-finding on the stretch from Fuji to ETC#4. Some sections have been worked on but the route isn't too easy and the trail is faint over some long stretches. Impossible to follow without a GPS. Not currently recommended for loaded bikepacking, it would be a miserable bike carry. reporter

mtb Rode downhill from Little Bunchgrass peak / ETC trailhead #4 heading West to OR. Trail is all clear, no issues anywhere. Not much traffic so the trail is brushy and hard to see in a few spots. A couple loose sections.

About 1-2 miles of trail in the middle bench sections are more scrappy.

Some logging activity and hauling happening on the access roads. reporter

mtb Tried to ride as part of OTT (South to North). The road to approach was closed for logging, No access. Folks at the bike shop said it was "unrideable" and had taken someone 16hrs for just Bunchgrass last summer. If you get up there to ride it, let us know! Variableview

mtb Rode this as a part of a north to south OTT ride. Significant number of trees down due to last year's fire. The trail is highly eroded in spots. GPS navigation helpful to find your way through heavily burned areas. Lot of hike a bike, but still some fun rideable sections.

mtb Very dry, very steep, definitely a lot of hike-a-bike if you're bikepacking. Zero trail maintenance in 2020 due to covid makes this a tough trail. It took us 9 + hours to go from Oak Ridge to first available good water source. Dryview

mtb Tough trail, much of it is hike-a-bike if you're bikepacking, due to steepness and trail conditions. Currently in 2020 there is no trail maintenance scheduled due to covid, which means poor conditions and a lot of overgrowth. Oakridge to 1st decent camping site with water took us 9+'hours. Dryview

mtb I road from the top to bottom on my bikepacking trip. The trail is clear but the bunchgrass southern facing meadows are hard to ride through due to the narrow trail and tall grass. Make sure to start on top with a lot of water. There are no really good water sources until about half way down where a spring has been damned with rock to make a small pool that you will need to filter. Dryview

mtb Worked to clear and brush about 7 miles from the cut in about 378 toward the west. Top section not as brushy as lower down. We did what we could. Still needs mass work on drainage as well as brush work. Crew of 3 and crew of 2. All other workers were w Usfs so not adding their time.
