A high elevation trail that offers an exciting journey around the Cascade Dam - the most beautiful lake ride in Australia.
This trail traverses through beech and eucalypt forests, past swimming holes and across bridges, crystal clear creeks and moss covered boulders. Running beside the water’s edge in places, it climbs up to stunning views overlooking the lake. Dambusters finishes with a white knuckle descent back down to Devilwolf - one of the fastest and most thrilling descents of the Derby network.

Beautiful, great river and lakeside snack/swim spots along the way. A slow and steady climb of switchbacks after halfway is rewarded with a super fast and flowy descent and berms galore after it blends with Atlas and Krushkas.

This is an absolute must do. Running laps of a gnarly jump line is super cool but there are many places an opportunities to do this. Riding an adventure trail that takes you through simply beautiful scenery with the added bonus of some interesting technical elements and an exhilarating descent is a truly rare treat. Don’t miss riding this uniquely Tasmanian experience. My wife and I rode this on a Santa Cruz Heckler and Specialized Turbo Levo SL from the village up. Brilliant morning’s ride. We mixed photo stops with thrills and thoroughly enjoyed the trail. Great trail.
