Apr 11, 2026 @ 12:18pm (America/Vancouver) Apr 11, 2026 | ebike One tree down | Dry | view
Apr 20, 2024 @ 1:16am Apr 20, 2024 | mtb A bit dry but overall excellent conditions. One decent sized tree across the trail requiring a dismount. Located between the upper and lower viewpoints - probably needs a chainsaw. | Dry | view
Oct 28, 2023 @ 8:56am Oct 28, 2023 | mtb Awesome descent as usual. But recent rains have rutted up some of the normally loose steeper turns, and scattered some new fist sized rocks around, making the decent a bit more challenging the last few times I’ve ridden it. Loved it! Very cold day and the extra layers were good to have, but regular cycling gloves and shoes didn’t do much! | Dry | view
Oct 7, 2023 @ 6:38am Oct 7, 2023 | mtb | Ideal | view
Jun 7, 2023 @ 9:55am Jun 7, 2023 | mtb Mosquitoes! Mosquitoes! Mosquitoes! I road the last half of the trail in late evening without applying bug-spray - big mistake. Ride when the sun is on the trail, apply bug-spray, take more bug-spray with you and don't stop, not even for a second. The views from the ridgeline are awesome though of course. | Ideal | view
Oct 14, 2022 @ 3:47pm Oct 14, 2022 | mtb Descent is very dry. Makes it all the more interesting. Otherwise trail is clear with no surprises. | Very Dry | view
Jun 24, 2022 @ 1:18pm Jun 24, 2022 | mtb Unsurprisingly, the trail is wet. Most of the downhill and exposed sections are shedding water really well, creating some good traction. The flatter more pedally sections are gross. Be prepared to wash your bike after. | Wet | view
Sep 25, 2021 @ 10:55am Sep 25, 2021 | mtb There were a couple trees down on the lower part of the trail, so heads up. Other than that, it was in great condition. The nature of this trail is dry, and will test your "skidding" skills. Compared to other areas in the region, such as Pineview, it is more old school fun. | Ideal | view
May 12, 2021 @ 9:47am May 12, 2021 | mtb Trail is in good shape, however some of the exposed faces are going to be powdery without some moisture. One new fallen tree about half way down. The first fence has been fixed, and the second fence by the stairs is down. | Ideal | view
Aug 8, 2020 @ 11:50am Aug 8, 2020 | mtb | Dry | view
Jul 7, 2020 @ 8:42am Jul 7, 2020 | mtb Dew Drop Traverse (DDT) is largely open and bucked out all the way to the west end. The southern end of the western most trail section still needs to be brushed and bucked. This section hadn't been ridden for a few years. This section is beyond the farthest parking lot indicated on the map. If your looking for "the" epic XC ride in the Kamloops area, this is it. The full monty DDT ride is around 50kms. Plan for a long day, take water and food and be prepared for some hike-a-bike sections. Not for DH riders or the faint of heart. This trail can be readily broken up into more manageable sections. There is even one "blue" section. | Ideal | view
Jun 28, 2020 @ 6:08pm Jun 28, 2020 | mtb Hero dirt today! All the rain has started to cut little gulleys right down the middle of the trail in some spots. If the rain keeps up, may become an issue later this summer, but for now just adds for fun factor ne generally seems confined to the rock areas. | Ideal | view
May 24, 2020 @ 9:38pm May 24, 2020 | mtb Seems more like a black at the top section, compared to anything else in the area. | Dry | view
May 19, 2020 @ 9:46pm May 19, 2020 | mtb There are two trees down on the descent portion. One is quite large, 3' in diameter or more, and the other is near 1'. They're not hiding behind blind corners, but the first one for sure requires a dismount. | Variable | view
May 14, 2020 @ 9:27pm May 14, 2020 | mtb Trail has been reopened by BC Parks. http://bcparks.ca/covid-19/ reporter | Dry | view
Apr 8, 2020 @ 4:31pm Apr 8, 2020 | mtb BC Parks closure due to COVID-19 https://news.gov.bc.ca/releases/2020ENV0019-000645 | Variable | view
Apr 5, 2020 @ 6:33pm Apr 5, 2020 | mtb Bottom section dry, top still snow covered. Removed large tree from bottom section between fence crossings. | Variable | view
Oct 23, 2019 @ 7:38pm Oct 23, 2019 | mtb Trees all cleared. Mostly hero dirt with some soft melt/freeze sections and some puddles on the climb. | Variable | view
Oct 23, 2019 @ 7:38pm Oct 23, 2019 | mtb | Dry | view
Aug 30, 2019 @ 7:02pm Aug 30, 2019 | mtb Tree still down across upper section of the descent. | Dry | view
Jun 1, 2019 @ 2:43pm Jun 1, 2019 | mtb Couple of trees down on the descents much larger than hand saw clearable. Someone has taken horses up the steep descent near the bottom when it was wet and left it full of hoof holes. | Dry | view
Apr 18, 2019 @ 10:10pm Apr 18, 2019 | mtb Running fantastic! One big tree down across trail on the descent about half way. Watch for it. | Dry | view
Sep 24, 2018 @ 9:11pm Sep 24, 2018 | mtb Full DDT! West to east. Definitely “the” epic ride in the Kamloops area. 23 kms, 3-1/2 hours ride/hike time, 768m climb, 1531m decent. 2-1/2 hours cutting downed trees, snacking and waiting for Bob. Epic, freakin’ epic. Can’t wait to ride it again and put some time into the B line ride-a-rounds! Okay, we shuttled from Fredrick Road to West parking area. Looking forward to riding it “Full Monty”. | Variable | view |
