Originally (and is still used as) a dirt bike trail, this is a singletrack ride along the top of a rocky ridge at 1700 m elevation and then a 200 vertical metre descent down its south face. Some very steep loose sections on the way down. This trail has been used for motorcycle races. It is also part of the last stage of the Sinister 7 ultra-marathon running race.

Access Info

From the McGillivray Staging Area, ride east then northeast along a gas pipeline ROW to the top of the ridge between Wedge Mountain and Nez Perce Creek. The pipeline is shown as the Daisy Creek Tr on the OSM base map above. The singletrack starts on the top of the ridge and ends on a dirt road beside Nez Perce Creek.

Directions to McGillivray Staging Area:
Take Hwy 3 to 61 Street in Coleman; turn north and follow signs for the Gun Club and McGillivray Staging Area. Follow the main route (which becomes 63 St.) for 2.5 km where you will enter the Forest Reserve and reach a large clearing under a large power line.

This trail is unsanctioned, use at your own risk!
