Alpine tech trail on natural (mostly graveled) ground. In some section there a few roots, and bigger rocks. In general lots of steps and also few quite challenging switch-backs. There are no exposed sections, however the whole track is still in alpine terrain
You must be able to ride safely (true) S2-S3 to ride most sections of this trail otherwise you definitely will not have fun on this trail and you will have to hike/walk a lot. The first section is very darkred and goes up to S4. But only for the first few metres. Trail becomes easier with every metres of the downhill. First third is "red", second third is "black", last third is "blue". Overall we decided to choose for red difficulty, as the whole track is quite demanding, alpine-terrain, and the first section is really technic. It is also harder than "Wappachkopf Trail" which follows after this track.
We recommend to try other black trails (f.e. Wappachkopf Trail) before trying this one. If you can ride those black trails without any problems, you can give it a try to the red trails ;-)
Please note, that this is also a quite common hiking path. Do not ride on typical hiking-times. Be friendly and polite! No racing!!!
Do not ride at wet conditions as the first section could quite dangerous. Some sections of the trail are on the "shadow-side" of the mountain, where is rarely sun and it takes a little bit longer until the trail becomes dry in autumn, winter and spring.
Keep in mind that hikers use this way too.
Hikers have priority. Be nice, friendy and respectful. Ride with care.
No uphill-road, no uphill pedalling. You have to use one of the hiking paths and must carry/hike your bike to the top. If you ride for the first time, we recommend to hike at the same track up as you ride down.
Wearing a helmet is compulsory. Be friendly to hikers. Ride at your own risk.
