This primitive trail is a mix of tight singletrack and good old fashioned Salmon-Challis troad (trail on old road). The singletrack can be hard to follow in a few spots, and don't expect a lot of tread or fast flowiness. But it's a very fun descent through a cool forest - expect tight turns, narrow passageways through the trees, steep pitches, and small stream crossings.
This trail is a great continuation of a descent down Double R (Upper). Alternatively, Rattlesnake Road #413 provides a really nice uphill climb to access this trail, creating an excellent loop option or shuttle route. Climbing this trail is considerably less fun - if you do so, expect to be off your bike more than a few times.
