Descending off the ridge in a nearly fall-line descent, this trail gets you to the Middle Fork Teanaway River quickly! The soil is loose and grippy and makes for a fun, steep decent. Be mindful to not rut this gem out, use good braking modulation to keep the tires rolling but slowing.
At the river, a mandatory river crossing is required to connect with the Indian Camp campground. The river runs pretty slow at this crossing and is roughly knee deep most of the time in spring.
Note: This is not an exclusive mountain bike trail. Hikers use it and more importantly, equestrians use it. Avoid conflict and injury to you or others by calling out, make some noise and using your eyeballs to check for other users.
This is often used by equestrians and is not a good place to be descending quickly and meet a horse.
