This is the original trail of the three parts of East Main, off of this you can also do East Main Extension and East Main Extension Extension. This trail has a gradual climb in the beginning that can make cold legs warm up fast, then it is mostly flat while is weaves back and forth over roots with a few small rocky sections. There is one steeper downhill section but not difficult and the trail has a considerable amount of rooty sections. This trail is less used than Lake Loop and is good for beginners to try a slightly more challenging trail with less slow traffic than lake loop.

Follow the gravel path at the East side of the upper parking lot down until you see the entrance which is just after the exit.
