This bi-directional trail is accessible to the public by the Mother Lode Land Trust and the trail is maintained by the Amador Trail Stewardship. It is a mix of singletrack and decommissioned road. There are currently no bathroom or water facilities, but there may be a port-a-potty in the near future. Other trails, such as Erickson Ranch, short, can intersect this trail. A picnic area is being designed for the highest part of this area with great views of Desolation Wilderness and Sacramento Valley. This is a year-round trail, with the optimal time being Spring. There will occasionally be cows grazing in the property.
Park just north of the intersection of Sutter-Ione Rd. and Oro Madre Way. Park just outside the gate with a sign notifying of cattle grazing and make sure to secure the gate upon entry and exit.
The singletrack portions of the trail are currently not to adaptive standards but is likely passable with an aMTB.
