This is a purpose-built mountain bike trail constructed by bikers for bikers. A great trail with magnificent views, abundant wildflowers, and excellent riding. The trail climbs from a cutblock up through an impressive mountain hemlock subalpine forest and into alpine meadows, cresting on rolling Frisby Ridge with views in all directions. From the high point, the trail dips down to a small lake where you either turn back or continue along the alpine ridge another 6 km on Frisby Vistas trail, but remember this is an out and back trail so save enough energy and water for the return ride.

Access Info

This is a wilderness trail. Be prepared with lots of water, spare tubes, tools, etc. Watch for bears and carry bear spray.

Turn left off Westside Rd onto Frisby FSR. Follow signs on the FSR 9 km to the Frisby Ridge Trailhead. The road is 2 wheel drive accessible but we recommend a vehicle with some clearance.

Disclaimer

This trail is under an enforced wildlife closure every year until July 15. Users will incur fines if they enter the closure area. Riding this trail before July 15 could lead to it being closed permanently.
