mtb NFS Trail Crew and moto riders have cleared most of the downed trees. A couple small ones remain near the bottom. There is a hazard immediately down trail from the large aspen ramped for moto passage - another huge aspen is broken off across the trail and the trail now goes between it and a standing tree. At this constriction the width is quite narrow and wider MTB handlebars will likely not fit if you try to ride it. My 540mm bars from 2008 just barely fit! Very Dryview

mtb A few more aspens down. One tree in pungee mode before you get to the high meadow - recommend check your speed until this is cut out. Idealview

mtb One giant aspen down across trail. Moto riders have ramped it on both sides so not hard to cross it. Grindstone doesn't seem to have as much water damage from recent rains as other Rico area trails. Idealview

mtb All clear - trees are cut out. Trail is getting some riding from motos and is in great shape. Idealview

mtb Now about 30-40 trees across the trail. Maybe 5 or so 18" or greater diameter. No snow in sight, but recent rains this past week mean the trail between Hillside Connector and the first huge meadow is pretty soggy. Wetview

mtb Riding nice, about 7 aspens down. Easy to get around with a mtb. Dryview

mtb Upper grindstone is MINT. Open Alpine hillsides to Loamy dark Forrest is amazing. Lower down, there are lots of fireweed baby aspens through the burn makes downhill unpleasant. Dryview

mtb Post Burro Fire: Open from top to bottom but with about a dozen trees down, mainly from fire. One section of trail gets lost for 20 yards but is easily found (fire). Overgrown in spots. Fire came through this area but spotty and in the pines. Dryview
