Heute sind wir am *Hey Hey Trail* dem Waldbesitzer begegnet. In seinem Wald gibt es vier bekannte Trails. Im unteren Bereich des *Hey Hey* („Trail“) starben vor Jahren alle Nadelbäume; der Bereich wurde neu aufgeforstet und nicht mehr befahren. Nun, wo die Jungpflanzen wachsen, entstand wieder eine Spur durch die Aufforstung – vermutlich von Mountainbikern genutzt, die direkt vom Hochsitz aus sichtbar ist. Der Waldbesitzer ist verständlicherweise verärgert, dass seine Aufforstungsbemühungen missachtet werden.
Nach einem langen, sachlichen Gespräch mit ihm bitten wir die MTB-Community, den *Hay Trail* in den nächsten Jahren zu meiden, bis die Bäume groß genug sind. Der *Happy Trail Freunde e.V.* und MTB Witten sollten den Trail sperren (z. B. mit Hinweisschildern), da auch viele Touristen den Bereich nutzen. Danke für euer Verständnis!
