This is extreme because it is difficult to ride. It is a rock crawlers paradise, with natural features that will test the clearance of your bottom bracket as well as your bike handling skills. Tons of fun

Super fun trail, with some cool slickrock features like a gully squeeze and a tight sidewall/ledge feature. Didn't really seem any harder than the South Rim - if that's rated a "single-black" I'm not sure I would grade this a "double-black". We used it as a connector for a figure-8 loop of the north and south rims.

I agree and will probably go back and change this. The funny thing about Gooseberry Mesa, is the perceived difficulty of a trail can depend on when and which direction you ride a trail. Coming from JEM, I hit this first and thought it was much more difficult, but then you kind of get used to riding on the slick rock and you figure out how to keep your crank arms from banging, and the next trails seem easier. Now that I have ridden more up there, I would say this trail is about the same as South Rim

Hey Todd, time to change the rating on this trail! It's not any harder than the rest of the Mesa and may actually be lower rated because there isn't any exposure. Consequence of failure is pretty low. This is still the best trail on the mesa imo.

Cette trail n'est pas double losange. La signalisation locale indique seulement un losange.
This trail is not double diamond. Local signs indicates only one diamond.

I'm not sure why this trail has 27 5-star reviews... definitely not the best trail in the area IMO.

Laugh out loud fun and play on this maze-ing, tunnel like trail. Slickrock rollercoaster labyrinth funhouse!
