This is extreme because it is difficult to ride. It is a rock crawlers paradise, with natural features that will test the clearance of your bottom bracket as well as your bike handling skills. Tons of fun!

Super fun trail, with some cool slickrock features like a gully squeeze and a tight sidewall/ledge feature. Didn't really seem any harder than the South Rim - if that's rated a "single-black" I'm not sure I would grade this a "double-black". We used it as a connector for a figure-8 loop of the north and south rims.

I agree and will probably go back and change this. The funny thing about Gooseberry Mesa, is the perceived difficulty of a trail can depend on when and which direction you ride a trail. Coming from JEM, I hit this first and thought it was much more difficult, but then you kind of get used to riding on the slick rock and you figure out how to keep your crank arms from banging, and the next trails seem easier. Now that I have ridden more up there, I would say this trail is about the same as South Rim
