The Horn Hunter Trail provides an easier climbing grade from the Horse Mountain Trail to the Lower Williams/Perreau Trail. It is a portion of the trail the old timers used from the old Williams Creek Guard Station (Which was at the Williams Creek Picnic Area) to access Salmon. The trail is ride able but there are a couple sections that merit caution as the elk and cows keep outsloping the lower edge of the trail down slope.

Access Info

Access is from the Horse Mountain Trail or the Lower Williams/Perreau Trail.
