       The pinch leading to the Scorpion Trail is very steep in either direction. Other than that, it’s a very nice double track that has many dips and climbs.

       No no no...don't veer right. Stay to the left, head on up, and try not to dab until the blood from your lacerated throat nearly ends you. A delightful way to despite Mount Cootha. My friends named it Grumpy Hill after my spirited utterings when the took me up there the first time. I hid their bodies just off the last switchback before the steep series of punches to face that take you up to Sir Samuel Griffith Drive. Coming out early onto Farnsworth, you may as well ride straight out to the retirement villages in Kenmore and check yourself in.
