mtb one other thing about the very steep lower section. There's the part that's marked as a double black obstacle (on trailforks) and it's 35% grade. There's another (unmarked on trailforks) section further down that's even steeper (45% grade). I love this type of trail, but not everyone does. Entire section after the fork should be marked double black.

mtb the bottom of this trail should be marked as double black. Lots of riders will walk half of it. It's more gnarly than some other trails in the area which are marked double black. Unknownview

mtb A little hard to see in the beginning, but the rocks in the climb are like grip tape. The section marked as double black should be a whole diff trail and that’s where guapi should end (imo). The actual end takes you to like this fire road and you take a left and most likely do bad bunny Unknownview

mtb Why is this as well as every other bike trail in calico (right side of highway) a hiking trail? Like I get it the stuff with Kraft and turtlehead but these are bike trails Unknownview

mtb New alt line veers off at the flat 180 curve at the bottom of the first descent. Well marked. Slightly spicy rolls. Has gap jump. Still too wet for the next few days though after tonight's rain. Wetview

mtb Went through and cleared out a ton of rocks, re-placed guide rocks and tidied up a bit from beginning to end. Still could use a good raking in some parts tbh, but it’s ready to go now. Rumors of some new lines soon too. Variableview

mtb I'm going to have to go back through and move the rocks further to the side of this narrow trail. Today there were tons of them knocked into the trail both up and down, along with evidence of a few crashes. I guess unfortunately with popularity of a trail comes more riders of questionable etiquette. Until then, use extra caution, rolling a front tire on a random rock that someone knocked into the trail, especially on the downhill, and face planting into this crazy sharp rock is not going to be fun.
