The Upper Ladybug Trail starts at the namesake trail head and parking lot just below Ladybug Peak off of the Swift Hwy. There is a signed alt route to get to Ladybug Peak around the .25 mile mark. Ladybug trail peels off of the Bear Canyon Trail about .45 mile mark. After that point, the trail receives infrequent maintenance over the next 1.5 miles down hill to Turkey Flat. The trail descends steeply with many super tight switchbacks with some steep, rocky exposed sections that may require a your bike to be walked. It's a hiking trail for most. Most MTB riders will access Ladybug via Turkey Flat trail and descend toward Angle Orchard. You may be curious about Bear Canyon and Dutch Henry trails accessed by this trail head. Those also receive little maintenance and are bushwhack hikes at best.
