TRAIL ALIGNMENT CHANGE: SEPTEMBER 2021
Lichen Loop has a brand new exit that veers left around the 1.4 km mark. This new section is feature-rich with berms, rollers and side hits. The new exit drops riders about 50m away from where the old exit was, connecting Lichen Loop to Spring Creek. Other modifications that have been made to the trail over the last few seasons have really ramped up the speed. Because of this, it's recommended that bikers only ride the trail counter-clockwise.
Access to Lichen Loop: ride up Spring Creek to the SECOND junction and turn left to ride the trail counter-clockwise. 600m into the trail, you'll be rewarded with a stunning lookout with views of Mt. Vanarsdoll & Lean-To Mountain. About 50m past the lookout, you will find the trailhead to Shangri-La. If you continue on Lichen, it's all juicy flow from here. Lots of small features to pop off & berms to rail. The trail takes you back to Spring Creek.
