Stony start from gate, smoothing off into woods with gradual descent. Deeper in woods gradient increases with Several line choices as it enters the pine trees. Here line options vary from from gravely loam and mild roots on the central path to loamy swoopy bank/ridge-line on the the right. After a few mild bends is a large hump on right for good air (but beware of walkers coming up) before gradient increases with left turn into steeper v shaped gully with minor drops to the gate/road.
