Nice flowing single track that takes you on a tour through the woods with several bridge crossings. There are a few uphill, rooty, switchback or tight turning sections.
Trails D & E together make a nice 8.7 mile loop.
Trails D & E riding direction is periodically reversed, usually for a month at a time a few times per year. Pay attention to the signs at the trailheads.

 Lots of eye level branches and holly leaves. Trail needs to be cut back asap.

      Every time I ride the D Loop, I ask myself, why am I riding this again. In my opinion it’s the least enjoyable trail in the park. It has no flow. Climbs and descents are constantly interrupted by a hard turn that does not need to exist. Throw in some roots in and around those turns and it’s just not fun for me. The trail could be great with the terrain that is out there, it’s just not. Sorry D Loop.

      Such a fun easy-intermediate XC trail. Wonderful curves and scenery. Ride this without stopping ... it makes for great XC race training.

      Trees down at mile 2.5 switch backs, then short after , and tree down at mile 3.5 . Sandy but dry, washed out in spots due to heavy rain. Very rideable tho!
