Mountain biking on this trail is officially allowed as per the park master plan, but with a friendly agreement with the smoke bluffs park committee it is not actively promoted or encouraged as the Smoke Bluff Park is a busy multi-use area. If you decide to climb up this trail be sure to be extra courteous to the other trail users in the park and expect to see all sorts of other users on this trail. This trail is also incredibly steep and unless you are gunning for the Olympic XC race, you are likely to find the climb imposingly steep.
