You opted to continue down the canyon with the Comanches--excellent! If you are opting to pedal up the Comanches (south to north), bless be, you are one sick individual--nice!! Lower Comanche features some mellow, maybe even "flowy" sections. Of course that's subjective, so don't fall asleep. The black diamond tech is hiding around every corner. The climbs will punch you in the gut; the rock gardens will work your kidneys; and the exposed switchbacks will swallow you whole. It's good stuff. If you need some motivation to get to the end or just some relief from the gnar, you can stop and admire the Spanish Skirts formations as you reach the Lower Comanche (Blue) section of trail. Need more than that? There is a restroom at the Mesquite Camp area--motivation and relief!!
