This follows what used to be called the old canal trail along the mountain side then connects up with the real Phosphate Hill Trail. Really easy at the bottom with little elevation gain, and you are surround on both sides by a little hill side because it used to be a canal. Then the old canal trail is blocked off and you climb up onto the relatively new (2014) Phosphate hill where you can climb the saddle or take the easy way around on The Face Trail.
