Great trail with more rooty and rocky steep sections than Otter Pop but mostly natural; not as many built features as some other trails in this area. It has some optional smaller airs as well as some more technical downhill sections. A great next step to a more technical trail. Recent work has it riding great!

Access Info

Head West of Whitefish on Highway 93, Spencer Lake will be on the left, take the next left on Twin Bridges Road. The trailhead is on your left. To get there ride up the access road to the flat plateau and Otter Pop on the right. Follow the Lookout Trail to the left, and go to the top. There you can access Maple Syrup as well as other trails.

Most of the snow and ice has melted on this trail but not all of it. There are definitely a few sections still covered in snow. Middle Maple Syrup...

Whoever decided this was a blue trail is out of their elements. Definitely an advanced trail.

The upper section could be a black trail, the lower is a lot of fun

Blue? Ehhh... maybe. Fun technical stuff but some steep technical spots are tricky for newer/less seasoned riders.
