This is a beautiful section of the Mid Mountain trail. No strenuous sections, as the trail doesn't climb much up or down, just short sections of climbing, mostly through thick forest. The trail can also get a bit overgrown and a bit loose in sun exposed spots. This trail does not get as much traffic as the southern sections of the Mid Mountain because it is isolated and surrounded by private property.

The trail takes you through a private area with big beautiful homes on the mountain side. This trail is mostly forested, but there are sections pretty exposed to sun, so carry plenty of water since you really don't have anyway to drop off the trail to town. There is no public access to this trail except for the connections at the start and finish. Now with the Red Pine Lodge closed where the Canyon Bike Park used to be, there is no public water.

trail is rolling well, what a sweet one. There's one pipeline ditch crossing at a ski run just south of Tombstone chair switchbacks, easy to cross.
